The problem it replaces

Reviewing video manually is the single most expensive routine task in most security operations. How the index works

Recall reads each frame and records what is in it — objects, people, vehicles, actions and their relationships — then stores that as a searchable index alongside the original video. The footage is not modified and nothing is discarded.

Because the index describes content rather than position, a query like forklift near loading dock B resolves without knowing which camera saw it or when. Results come back as timestamped clips you can export as evidence. In GuardMind pilot testing, most searches return in under 10 minutes across every camera.

What it does not replace

Recall is a search layer, not a recorder. Your VMS or NVR keeps doing what it already does — capture and retain video. Recall sits on top of that footage and makes it addressable. Teams typically keep their existing infrastructure unchanged and add search to it.

What footage it accepts

Any recorded video: NVR exports, cloud storage, SD cards and body cameras. The format does not matter. This is the practical difference from tools that only index streams from cameras they installed themselves — the phone clip a shift lead recorded is searchable on the same terms as the fixed camera above the door.

Running it on your own hardware
